Christmas Biscuits Recipe
20 mins to prepare and 15 mins to cook, 15 mins to cool
225g (8oz) self-raising flour
1/2tsp each of ground cinnamon and ground ginger
115g (4oz) caster sugar
115g (4oz) Stork packet
1 medium egg, beaten
- Start by preheating the oven to 180°C (160°C fan oven, Gas Mark 4).
- Mix the flour, spices and sugar in a large bowl. Add the Stork and rub in using your fingers. Add a beaten egg and mix into a stiff dough. Knead lightly and roll out on a floured surface until it’s about 5mm (¼ inch) thick.
- Cut into Christmassy shapes and place onto baking trays that have been lightly greased with Stork. Pop them in the oven for about 15 minutes, until golden brown.
- Leave the biscuits to cool on a rack. Dust with a little icing sugar and decorate with whatever takes your fancy.
