9 Christmas Poems For Kids

  1. A Chubby SnowmanA chubby little snowman
    had a carrot nose.
    Along came a bunny,
    and what do you suppose?
    That hungry little bunny,
    looking for some lunch,
    Grabbed that snowman’s nose,
    Nibble, nibble, crunch!

  2. The Day Before ChristmasWe have been helping with the cake,
    And licking out the pan,
    And wrapping up our packages,
    As neatly as we can.
We have hung our stockings up,
    Beside the open grate.
And now there’s nothing more to do,
    Except
    To
    Wait.

  3. ChristmasWith all the children, far and near,
Today we’ll sing a song of cheer!
To rosy lips and eyes, so merry,
    We’ll all kiss under the holly berry;
And for the sake of the small and gay
We’ll be children also for to-day.

  4. Star high,
    Baby low:
    ‘Twixt the two
    Wise men go;
    Find the baby,
    Grasp the star–
    Heirs of all things
    Near and far!

  5. Writing a Letter to SantaI’m writing a letter to Santa,
To tell him I’ve been oh-so-good.
I’ve been such a sweet little angel,
And done all the things I should.
Well, maybe not quite all the things I should,
Like doing my homework after school.
And there may have a time or two,
Where I broke the Golden Rule. There’s that time I smashed the window,
‘Cause I was playing ball inside.
I knew my mom would be mad,
So I ran away to hide.

I also yanked my sister’s pig tails.
I pulled them so hard she cried.
I got grounded a week for that stunt,
Although a couple times I snuck outside.

Okay, maybe I haven’t been perfect,
But, Santa, I swear that I’ve tried.
I promise if you give me a break this year,
Next year I’ll get on your good side.

  6. Happy Birthday JesusSweet Baby Jesus,
    How I love you so.
    Born in a barn on
    That night long ago.
    Laid in a manger,
    Surrounded by cows and sheep,
    Wisemen and angels gathered
Round to watch you sleep.Joseph and Mary were
    Amazed by your Grace,
As they sat close beside you,
And gazed upon your precious face.

They knew you were a gift
    From Heaven up above.
God brought you into this world
To show us His never ending love.

    Sweet Baby Jesus,
I know you love me too,
And I’m so glad I can celebrate
    Your birthday with you.

  7. The bells ring
    At Christmas –
    We all sing
    At Christmas.
    Secrets everywhere
    You go!
    Children’s stockings
    In a row.
    My little bell
    Rings out to say,
    “Have a merry
    Christmas Day.”
    Come and see
    The Christmas tree
    It is pretty
    As can be.
    A couple of wishes
    And both for you:
    Joy at Christmas
A Happy New Year, too.By Unknown AuthorRead source at : http://www.primarysuccess.ca/freepdf/Christmas-Poems.pdf
  8. Eight Little Reindeer1, 2, 3, 4, 5 little reindeer
    Stand beside the gate,
    “Hurry, Santa,” said the five,
“So we will not be late.”
    1, 2, 3, 4, 5 little reindeer
    Santa said, “Please wait!
Wait for three more little reindeer
    Then there will be eight.”

  9. ChristmasJoy The sound of bells is a joy
All a child wants is a toy
It’s the time for family gathering
At eve we’ll have some merry-making.
    The Christmas tree is sparkling
    With lights and stars hanging
Gifts for you and me are wrapped
Oh, how nice it is to still be up.
Thank you Jesus for your birth
This day is celebrated all over the earth
You are our savior and our King
Today it’s Christmas joy we sing.
