7 Christmas Poems About Jesus

  1. Don’t Forget Jesus
    Christmas is a special time
    To reflect on Jesus Christ,
The wonder of His lowly birth
Brings meaning to our livesThere really is no other reason,
    We celebrate this day,
The birth of God’s precious son
And the life, He willingly gaveBut so much seems to distract us
In the busyness of our lives,
We lose our focus in all the happenings,
Not knowing, we leave out ChristWe lose sight of the true meaning
    As we endlessly rush about,
Trying to find that perfect gift,
Seems to cloud our Saviour outWe need to stop and reflect awhile,
    Remembering our precious Lord,
His birth, His life and sacrifice
And all that He stands for

For though the world may celebrate,
It seems, though, for other reasons,
Let’s keep in mind that Jesus Christ
Is the true meaning of the season.

Yes, it’s that time of year ~
    To celebrate, again, with JOY,
Your birthday, JESUS, DEAR …Recalling, in the carol’s sung,
    Precious Babe in manger lay,
    Heavenly host and angels proclaim,
“Jesus Christ is born, today.”HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWEET JESUS,
Our hearts join theirs to sing,
    “Hosannas in the Highest.
Messiah, King of Kings.”Friends and family gathering ~
    Fellowship and gifts to share.
Oh, what a pity t’would be, Lord,
    If YOU weren’t invited there.Since it’s YOU we’re celebrating,
    What would Christmas really mean?
If YOU aren’t invited, JESUS ~
    A sad and senseless scene.

YOU are the One who taught us.
Lights and tinsel do not Christmas make.
YOU gave the most precious GIFT of all,
On the Cross of Calvary, for our sake.

Accept the gratitude and praises we send.
    Thank YOU, precious JESUS,
Our LORD, our SAVIOUR, our FRIEND !!!

  3. Front Row
    On a clear night
Obscure they trudged through miles of layered grains.
    Shepherds seeking a Bethlehem shed;
    A hovel housing the promise of glory in straw and precious proximity;
A king who would not be piqued by simple society offering rustic reverence.
Crossing the sea of shifting sand peripheral people came
To gaze at the center of the universe.
Their visit perhaps a portent to a world turned upside down.
Unable to pay the price of admission to the presence of Holiness, they were
Ushered, angelstruck, to the front row.
Shepherds standing before a manger, they were just
Low enough to see the High King.

  4. Christmas Presence
    God’s gift was wrapped
    without paper or bows
    just swaddling clothes
    and all His glory.
    God’s gift unwrapped one
    day would be
    hung on a tree —
    no decoration
    just liberation
    for those who believe.
    But for now no danger
    just peace in a manger.
    Shepherds held rapt without
    paper or bows
    gazed at swaddling clothes
    and all His glory.
    They saw His tiny fingers
    Who once had hurled
    stars into space.
    He still lives
    He still gives
    God’s Christmas Presence.

  5. There Is No One Like Jesus
There is no one like Jesus,
    Our Savior and Lord
    The message is timeless
The price we could not afford. On the cross
    He bore our shame
    Suffering, He died,
Our souls to reclaim.Three days later
    He rose from the grave
    Purchased our pardon,
    We are no longer enslaved.

  6. Jesus is the Answer
    Put your faith in Jesus.
He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
He’s the one and only Savior,
Offering hope for toil and strife. When the burdens seem too hard.
In Him find help and comfort,
Let His angels be your guard

  7. Jesus Loves Us
“Jesus loves me this I know,
for the Bible tells me so.”
This is a very special thought:
to young and old it ought be taught.God’s love was there before our birth,
even before He made the earth.
    In our mother’s wombs He formed our parts;
    knit together body, soul and heart.He loves as a shepherd loves his sheep;
as a mother when her child weeps.
He is our Father, saving, caring,
protecting and our burdens bearing. His love never fails, is always warm,
giving peace inside when outside’s a storm.
He is gentle too, patient, kind,
and with good thoughts fills our minds. When we know God loves us so,
    we are strengthened to face our foes;
    not run away, feeling low,
alone, uncertain how things will go…

For He makes secure, brings hope to life,
    boldness to stand for what is right;
changes us to consider other’s needs:
God’s love is shared through kindly deeds.

Jesus loves us: all may know
what the Bible tells is so.
